This show is unlike the rest of the Marvel Series. The set, the plot, everything is out of the ordinary.

“Marvel Studios presents “WandaVision,” a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)– two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives– begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.” (Disney+).
This series takes place after the events of Avengers: End Game in the Marvel series. It primarily focuses on the married life of Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and Vision. This show moves throughout the years as sitcoms rather than a smooth sailing time period. It is believed that the show takes place in an alternate universe created by Wanda to fulfill her life. This place is the only way Vision has the opportunity to be alive since he sacrificed his life to stop Thanos. Also, this alternate universe gives Wanda the power to create events as she wishes.
The reasons behind Wanda’s actions come from what she believes is right in the world, how she portrays the universe should work. As the series progresses, viewers meet Wanda and Vision’s twin sons, Agatha Harkness, Monica Rambeau, and others who all play a significant role in the plot of the series. As it is known, Wanda has forceful abilities.
“Wanda’s abilities include telekinesis, energy manipulation, and some form of neuroelectric interfacing that allows her to both read thoughts and also give her targets waking nightmares.” (Marvel).
At the beginning of this series, Wanda and Vision try to hide their powers to live a normal life. Characters are clueless that the strange events are being powered by their loving new neighbor. Wanda has a difficult time hiding her powers while she is pregnant but slowly starts to live the life where she lets her powers free.
“WandaVision” was off to a very slow start with the beginning episodes being very bland. As the show progressed, viewers slowly started to understand the background of each character. Also, the setting of the show started to make a lot more sense, as well as the whole premise of the show. As viewers got deeper into the season, the plot thickened and the true events started to unravel. Writers also incorporated unexpected changes that left the viewers in shock. By the end of the season, viewers were able to understand why the events happened the way they did.
As of right now, there is no official release date for the next season. Viewers are hoping to find out what happens next in this weird alternate universe that is Wanda’s life. If Disney+ does release a new season for WandaVision, will Wanda continue to try and create her idea of a ‘perfect world?’ Who knows!
