As the school year inches closer to the end, senior activities have officially started. The water wars will begin on May 2nd, and many seniors have gathered a team to compete.
Water wars consist of a team of 5 or fewer seniors on each team, plotting against one another to eliminate other teams around them. You are eliminated when someone from another team shoots you with a water gun, but there must be video proof of the elimination, while following the rules. You are safe when wearing your arm floaties and goggles when outside of school. Seniors are granted a 10-minute grace period before and after school, and a 20-minute grace period after a practice or game. Seniors are also not allowed to be eliminated in their place of work, place of religion, their home, and school events such as prom and Senior Oscars. Each team puts in 50 dollars; third place will get their money back, second place will get double, and the winner will take the rest of the earnings.
Seniors have been gathering their team and plotting how they are going to win.
“I am excited to eliminate my classmates and get revenge,” senior Ruby Issacs said.
Issacs team’s name is “Fat, Juicy, and Wet,” and their team members are Brynn Gollanan, Alisia Lopez, Molly Darden, and Ella Baird. Their team’s tactics are to use their connections they have built to their advantage.
Though other teams are targeting certain people to eliminate. Tyler Konieczny, Ian Medina, Max Bernard, Gavin Wegenke, and Preston Bohnet’s team is “The Squirt Force,” and together they have come up with their list of goals.
“Our goal is to win all the money and to eliminate Zechariah Jones.” Senior Tyler Konieczny said.
Seniors have gathered their teams and are ready to compete in the 2025 Water Wars. They are excited to eliminate their other classmates and win the prize. “ I am most excited to chase people down in their cars and track their location so our team can win,” senior Gianna Naccarato said.
