It has been an honor to be a part of The Comet’s Tale Newspaper for the past three years. Throughout this journey, I’ve created so many memories and formed friendships. Being part of this publication has allowed me to grow my journalistic skills and explore topics I am passionate about. I am especially grateful for Mrs. Scott, whose guidance and encouragement have made an impact on my growth as a writer, student, and person. Her wisdom has pushed me to strive for excellence, and I am so thankful for her support. As I prepare to move on to the next chapter, I will carry the lessons, friendships, and experiences from The Comet’s Tale with me. This has been more than just a school activity; it’s been a significant part of my life, and I am excited to see where it takes me next. Thank you all for being part of this unforgettable chapter.

I’ve only been in Newspaper for one year, but being a part of the class has been an amazing experience. I’ve learned so much so quickly about publishing, editing, and journalism in general. I owe a lot of this growth in writing and knowledge of journalism to Ms. Scott and our editors, so thank you. The potlucks, final editing days, and sharing news stories has been so much fun to do throughout the year, and that’s thanks to the other students in the class as well. Newspaper has helped me grow in a subject I never thought I’d show more growth in, and learn about new things. Finally, one big thank you to Ms. Scott and the rest of the Newspaper staff!

Even though this is only my second trimester being a part of the Comets’ Tale crew, I loved working with my classmates and it is so cool to see them work behind the scenes on their publications. I admire their hard work and knowledge on so many things! This class has shown me the power of speaking your mind, voicing your opinion, and staying informed on the world. Despite graduating this year, I’ll be in school for a lot longer because I plan on becoming a teacher haha! I can never escape.

Joining the school newspaper in my sophomore year was one of the best decisions I made in high school. It became more than just a class, it became a community. Over the years, I’ve grown as a writer and learned what it means to tell stories that matter. From covering school events to highlighting student voices, being part of something that showcases our school and community has been an incredible experience. I’m especially grateful for the people I’ve worked with, who turned tight deadlines and brainstorming sessions into some of my favorite memories. Thank you to everyone who made the newspaper what it is. And thank you, newspaper, for the lessons, laughter, and lasting memories. It’s been an unforgettable journey, and I’m so proud to have been a part of it.

Although I have only been a part of The Comets’ Tale for one year, it has taught me so much and gave me a new outlet for my previously formed passions. Working with others and creating newspapers has not only pushed me more as a writer, but helped me identify how media impacts our day-to-day life. Having the honor of being able to inform the student body on numerous social issues to community affairs, while also being able to amplify students’ voices is one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had. This year in newspaper has shown me how much writing to inform others means to me and that is a passion I want to continue exploring. I am happy I got to experience something that meant so much to me and helped me grow.

Being in newspaper these last three years has truly opened me up to so many new experiences. Throughout the years, I’ve learned so much about journalism, and my passion for writing just continues to grow. Being able to be a Staff writer, Section Editor, and now Editor-in-Chief, I have learned so many aspects of writing and editing. I would like to give a big thank you to Ms. Scott; without her guidance and passion for The Comets’ Tale Newspaper, I don’t know what I would have done. She has helped me in so many more ways than just the newspaper; she has also been there for me whenever I needed. I also want to thank my classmates for all of the fun times that we had in newspaper, the years wouldn’t have been as enjoyable without all of you guys. I’ve made so many memories that will stay with me forever. I’m so happy that I’ve been able to be a part of a great program these last three years.

Being part of the newspaper class has been one of the most impactful experiences of my school years. I was incredibly fortunate to have a platform where I could explore politics, amplify student voices, and shed light on the issues that matter most to our community. This class didn’t just teach me how to write, it taught me how to listen, question, and make a difference. Goodbyes are never easy, especially when it means parting from a group as special as the one I found in this newspaper class. To the next batch of newspaper students: embrace every challenge and speak your truth!
