My name is Myryssa Miller, and I’m a junior. This is my first year on the Newspaper Staff; I’m really excited to be a staff writer. I’m also a part of the Liberal Activist Club and on the Varsity Pompon Team. Being involved in different things at school has helped me meet new people and try new experiences.  I joined the newspaper because I want to share the stories of student athletes and show who they are outside of their sports. A lot of times, I see people only viewing athletes for what they do in games or performances, but there’s a lot more to them as people. I think it’s important to give them a voice and help others see them beyond the sport they play. When I’m not in school, practicing routines, or writing articles, I like to spend time with my friends and family. I also enjoy reading, babysitting, and going for runs when I can. I’m really looking forward to learning more about writing and being able to participate in this year’s news staff.
