My name is Victoria Shriver, and I’m a student at Grand Ledge High School. I am ecstatic to have earned the opportunity to join the Comets’ Tale Newspaper staff! My role this year is staff writer, and I’ll be focusing mostly on mental health, controversial issues, student life, and real-world topics. Since middle school, I’ve challenged myself to grow as a writer and deepen my knowledge and love of English, with the goal and hopes of being accepted onto the high school newspaper team. My ultimate goal is to one day write for the New York Times. I believe this experience will allow me to advance my knowledge further and prepare me for a future job in political journalism and law. I love reading and writing as hobbies, but also enjoy shopping online, traveling, and fashion. Fall is- and forever will be my favorite season; I love the coziness, colorful leaves, coffee, and, above all, spooky season. I love the horror characters and decorations. I’m excited to advocate for students
and others who feel they don’t have a voice to bring awareness and understanding
to the paper. I can’t wait to see what great things will unfold this year!
