Hi, my name is Katie Schupbach. I’m 15 years old and am a sophomore at Grand Ledge high school. This year is my first year in the newspaper, and I’m looking forward to being a part of it. My position in the newspaper is a Staff Writer. I haven’t done any writing for anything in the past, so this will be new for me. I do not want to pursue an english major or journalism career, but I wanted a little more exposure to writing like this. Being a part of something like this seemed fun.

Heres a little bit more information about me! I’ve gone to Grand Ledge Public Schools my whole life, ever since kindergarten. I am the oldest of four kids in my family, 2 younger brothers and a younger sister. We have three dogs and a hamster. I am part of the school cross country team, and I’m also a PAL at the school. Outside of school I’m a dancer and I babysit a lot. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field, specifically something in pediatrics. Math and english are my favorite subjects in school. I spend most of my free time with my friends or watching Netflix.
