On April 1st, The Red Hot Chili Peppers released their newest album, Unlimited Love. This is their 12th studio album since the band formed in 1983. Due to  the wildfires that raged across California in 2018, the band had to delay the recording of Unlimited Love

In 2020, the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ lead guitarist, Jack Sherman, passed away, leaving the band needing a new guitarist. They soon left their management company, and one of their old guitarists John Frusciante rejoined the band.

As of April 11th, 2022, Unlimited Love is the best-selling rock album of 2022. The 17-song album features songs like “Tangelo”, “Let ‘Em Cry”, “Veronica”, and “Black Summer”. The album blends genres like pop, rock, punk, and the first few songs even have touches of Celtic influence.

At Grand Ledge High School, 79.2% of students polled said they had not even heard of the new album, and 20.8% said that they had. The majority of students polled (29.2%) said that they rated their interest in the band at a 1 out of 10.

Grand Ledge High School students had comments on the album such as: “No I do not plan on listening to it,” “The chances of me listening to RHCP are increased now because I noticed that I listen to most of their related artists,” “I do not know what that is,” and “I’ll listen to it when people stop reminding me of it.”

The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Unlimited Love is out and available to listen to on all music streaming platforms.
